About the Wine
A great circle shows the shortest distance between two points across the surface of a sphere. It represents a shift in perspective, from navigating the world as we would draw it in two dimensions to navigating the world as it is.
The great circle also represents our perspective as grape growers and winemakers. It is symbolic of the interconnectedness of our world. The cycles of life and rebirth, and the delicate interplay between sun and soil, wind and water, geology and chemistry that we must navigate within our small corner of the globe.
Each vintage of Great Circle is a careful clonal blend of the best Pinot Noir from various blocks across Tidalstar Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton, reflecting the holistic expression of this specific growing site and what it gives us each season.
